ESTUDIO JUAN CARLOS CORAZZA

"An actor who freely creates with wisdom and love, is able to express the light and shade of the character he is playing and also the truth and the mystery of the story to the audience".

Juan Carlos Corazza.

A ver qué tal..

Juan Carlos Corazza Acting Studio is one of the most respected acting schools in the country. His method can be defined as a mixture of different theatrical trends such as the Stalisnavsky method including contributions from Lee Strassberg, the psicoanalysis and Gestalt therapy. Before moving to Madrid I was not sure about which school to choose. I asked around and I finally went for Corazza. After the auditions I started my first year and I was very lucky indeed with my class group. Amazing people, both students and teachers.
I honestly had no idea how the classes were going to work or how their method was going to be applied. I had read about it but it was not until my first day of classes (when I started to do what they asked me to - which at times i found really "odd"- that I realized what I had gotten involved with.
I am now in my second year and Manuel Moron is my acting teacher, he is such a ace! I am learning so much and his classes are such a therapy, a reflexive process that helps to getting to know oneself a bit better, to learning how you really feel in that specific moment and to being able to stop and really think for few hours.
I still have a long way to go but I think I am on the right track.
It takes four years to complete the whole program (if you don't have to repeat any year), plus several extra optional seminars students can enroll. One day I ran into Javier Bardem at the entrance of the school and he told me "You are in the right place, I discovered this school 20 years ago and never left".

Let's see how it goes...
