Manlul Of The Month: Twist & Shout

 

Marcos Montijano is the new Manlul of The Month and when I think of how to describe him, what comes to mind are the old Hollywood stars who, besides acting, could also sing and dance. They had that special thing he also has. Marcos exudes talent and grabs the attention of anyone who hears his deep singing voice or watches him moving his legs with the sound of music as he steps onto the stage. This year he has participated in several plays and musicals, TV series and many concerts as a vocalist for his own band Third Floor. Although he graduated in journalism, he had always been interested in the art world and from a very young age had begun to act and play the guitar. When you are with him you feel his positive energy and you get the excitement and strength he has to share with the world. Yesterday he gave a concert and you will see him again on screen very soon. I'm proud to present Marcos as Manlul of the month because in addition to being talented, he is a very good person. Go for it kid! @marcos.montijano

Marcos Montijano es el nuevo Manlul of The Month y cuando pienso en cómo describirle me vienen a la mente las antiguas estrellas de Hollywood que además de actuar sabían cantar y bailar. Tenían ese algo especial que él también tiene. Marcos derrocha talento y atrapa a cualquiera que le escuche cantar con su voz grave o le vea mover sus piernas al ritmo de la música cuando sube al escenario. Este año ha participado en varias obras de teatro y musicales, en series de televisión y en muchos conciertos como vocalista de su grupo Third Floor. Aunque se licenció en periodismo siempre se interesó por el mundo del arte y desde muy pequeño empezó a actuar y a tocar la guitarra. Cuando estás con el sientes esa energía y positividad que desprende y captas la ilusión y fuerza que tiene para compartir con el mundo. Ayer mismo dio un concierto y seguro que pronto le volvereis a ver en la pantalla. Marcos es un orgullo de Manlul porque a demás de talentoso es buena persona. ¡A por todas @marcos.montijano!.

Manlul 62: Autumn has arrived!

The oaks and beeches are changing colors, autumn has arrived! and with it the most incredible sceneries of the year. It's time for nice walks and enjoy the landscapes. It is also the season I like the most because I can start wearing my favorite garment: sweaters!. It is a good time to renew the closet, coats and accessories are waiting for us. The bag I carry on the pictures matches perfectly with the season, I love the color and touching the leather it’s a real experience, along with shoes make a perfect combination, both by Louboutin. I am also wearing Dockers pants, Mango Man sweater and Calvin Klein watch. The shirt is by Batabasta, a very special brand which makes amazing original prints. My new acquisition for the bike is the helmet by Diesel, really comfortable.! Happy autumn!.

El otoño ya está aquí, una de mis estaciones preferidas porque los robles y las hayas se ponen impresionantes y se producen los paisajes más increíbles del año. Y porque me puedo poner la prenda que más me gusta: ¡los jerséis!. Es un buen momento para ampliar el armario con abrigos y complementos. La bolsa que llevo en las fotos es de piel y va perfectamente con la estación, me encanta el color y da mucho gusto tocarla, junto con los zapatos hacen una combinación perfecta, ambos son de Louboutin. Los pantalones son Dockers, el jersey de Mango Man y el reloj de Calvin Klein. La camisa es de una marca muy especial, Batabasta, que hacen unos estampados realmente originales. Y mi nueva adquisición para la moto es este casco de Diesel, realmente cómodo. ¡Feliz otoño!.

Manlul 42: Some Men during Fashion Week

 

We're on the last part of this crazy month of Fashion Weeks. We started in NYC full of energy at the beginning of the month, in just one week thousand of things going on at the same time, the city it's so alive , people are motivated, it's the of celebration fashion! An explosion of colors and inspiration everywhere you look at. Even though the shows and presentations are mostly for women, men also have our little space. I want to share with this pictures a brief summary of what has been in Milan and NYC (a part of the partys! ) . Looking foward to check out those new trends on the upcomings men's shows ,ill keep you posted

Ya estamos en el último tramo de esta locura de mes en cuanto a Fashion Weeks se refiere. Inauguramos con NYC donde lo dimos todo, en solo una semana están pasando miles de cosas a la vez, la ciudad está viva, la gente se motiva, ¡se celebra la moda! Una explosión de colores y mucha inspiración en donde quiera que mires. Aunque los desfiles y presentaciones son mayoritariamente para mujeres, también los hombres tenemos nuestro pequeño hueco. En estas fotos intento transmitir un pequeño resumen de lo que ha sido Milán y NYC (a parte de las fiestas). Ahora a esperar a los desfiles de hombre, ¡a ver con lo que nos sorprenden!

Esta edición de la NY Fashion Week pude disfrutar de muchos desfiles pero uno de mis preferidos fue el de Diesel Black Gold. (Los que seguís mi Instagram habréis visto alguna foto).

Y es uno de mis preferidos porque siempre arriesgan con su música, modelos y dirección artística. 

Otra cosa genial fue el no tener que pasar el frío de la última edición el pasado febrero. Me encantó reencontrarme con amigos y compañeros del mundillo y poder charlar en la calle tranquilamente con ellos sin estar tiritando. Estas son algunas de las fotos que hice antes y durante el desfile. De la que salíamos del  me encontré a Nicola Formichetti director creativo de Diesel al que conocí en Venecia cuando presentó su primera colección en un espectacular show. ¡Muchas gracias a todo el equipo en especial a Pedro Barrios por ser siempre tan amables! En las fotos llevo camiseta y pantalón de Diesel y zapatillas de Pedro García.

In this edition of NY Fashion Week I attended many shows but one of my favorite was the Diesel Black Gold. (Those of you who follow me on Instagram have already seen some pics). 

This show is one of my favourites because it's always quite different from other ny shows, they take risks and do a great job when it comes to music, models or art direction. 

It was great to reconnect with friends and colleagues I ran in to and being able to chat in the street and not freeze like last feabruary!.

These are some of the pictures I took before and during the show. When we were leaving I ran in to Nicola Formichetti, Creative Director at Diesel, whom I had met in Venice when he presented his first collection with a spectacular show.

Many thanks to the whole Diesel family especially to Pedro Barrios for always being so kind and taking such good care of us! In these photos I'm wearing shirt and pants by Diesel and Pedro Garcia shoes.
