Manlul 62: Autumn has arrived!

The oaks and beeches are changing colors, autumn has arrived! and with it the most incredible sceneries of the year. It's time for nice walks and enjoy the landscapes. It is also the season I like the most because I can start wearing my favorite garment: sweaters!. It is a good time to renew the closet, coats and accessories are waiting for us. The bag I carry on the pictures matches perfectly with the season, I love the color and touching the leather it’s a real experience, along with shoes make a perfect combination, both by Louboutin. I am also wearing Dockers pants, Mango Man sweater and Calvin Klein watch. The shirt is by Batabasta, a very special brand which makes amazing original prints. My new acquisition for the bike is the helmet by Diesel, really comfortable.! Happy autumn!.

El otoño ya está aquí, una de mis estaciones preferidas porque los robles y las hayas se ponen impresionantes y se producen los paisajes más increíbles del año. Y porque me puedo poner la prenda que más me gusta: ¡los jerséis!. Es un buen momento para ampliar el armario con abrigos y complementos. La bolsa que llevo en las fotos es de piel y va perfectamente con la estación, me encanta el color y da mucho gusto tocarla, junto con los zapatos hacen una combinación perfecta, ambos son de Louboutin. Los pantalones son Dockers, el jersey de Mango Man y el reloj de Calvin Klein. La camisa es de una marca muy especial, Batabasta, que hacen unos estampados realmente originales. Y mi nueva adquisición para la moto es este casco de Diesel, realmente cómodo. ¡Feliz otoño!.

Manlul 57: Because we're worth it too

Wen, men have to also take care of ourselves and although we are lucky that wrinkles, dark rings etc sometimes can be sexy, with this crazy way of living we have to take a bit of time for ourselves . Gala and I, every time we can, we go to our favorite center, Tacha Beauty, where they take great care of us and where we they have lots of variety of treatments, massages and also hairdresser, a real oasis where to disconnect, you come out as a brand new person!

In the photos I propose a selection of my favorite products. I'm always faithful to Dior Homme creams, specially the serum that is super light and refreshing. I use it every morning and evening. Also to the regenerating cream for the eye area before going to sleep. One of my favorites it's also Biotherm that was born 30 years ago and is one of the leading brands in men's cosmetics. I really like their mythical Aquapower, especially the 72h one that is perfect for traveling and fight the dryness on the planes. I keep it in the fridge and is a pleasure to apply it because the texture is very light and refreshes you very much. Another brand I've been using for many years is Khiel's. The body moisturizer is the best one I've tried, I love it, smells great and leaves your skin really smooth. I also really like the shower gel and scrub because it is very natural and flavorful. The last perfume I tried it's Solo by Loewe, I like it because it has a spicy smell and is strong and with character. Take care guys!

Los hombres también tenemos que cuidarnos y aunque tengamos la suerte de que las arrugas, ojeras etc a veces puedan resultar sexys, con el ritmo de vida que llevamos hoy en día no está de más ponerle un poco de atención a la piel. Gala y yo de vez en cuando vamos a nuestro centro preferido, Tacha Beauty, donde nos cuidan genial, tienen mucha variedad de tratamientos, hacen masajes y también tienen peluquería, un auténtico oasis donde desconectar, ¡sales como nuevo!

En las fotos propongo una selección de mis productos preferidos. Siempre soy fiel a las cremas de Dior Homme, el sérum que es súper ligero y refrescante me lo pongo por la mañana y por la noche y la crema regenerante para el contorno de ojos  antes de dormir. Otra de mis marcas preferidas es Biotherm que cumplen 30 años y es una de las marcas líder en cosmética masculina. Me gusta mucho su mítica crema Aquapower, en especial la de 72h que es perfecta para viajar  y que no se te reseque la cara en los aviones. La guardo en la nevera y es un gusto ponérsela porque la textura es muy ligera y te refresca muchísimo. Otra de las marcas que uso desde hace muchos años es Khiel's. La crema hidratante de cuerpo es la mejor que probé, me encanta, huele genial y te deja la piel realmente suave. También me gusta mucho el gel para la ducha y el exfoliante porque es muy natural y huele genial. La última colonia que probé es Solo de Loewe, me gusta porque tiene un olor especiado y es fuerte y con carácter. ¡A cuidarse chicos!

El lunes tuve la suerte de conocer el Museo Sorolla en una visita privada con mi compañera Ester Bellón. La historiadora, Covadonga, nos contó todo sobre la obra de Joaquín Sorolla, gran artista valenciano (1863-1923) que llegó a pintar más de cinco mil cuadros. Su casa museo tiene muchísimo encanto e historia, la familia donó gran parte de sus lienzos junto a la casa y otras de las piezas son préstamos de fundaciones o coleccionistas.

Conocimos la vida de esta familia, sus viajes y sus largos veranos en el norte donde Sorolla pintó algunas de sus obras más famosas. El valenciano tenía verdadera pasión por Andalucía, por sus  patios, las casas en Sevilla, los jardines de la Alhambra... Para construir la suya se inspiró en la cultura flamenca, sus azulejos… El jardín es increíbles, un pequeño oasis en medio de la jungla de asfalto del centro de Madrid.  
Para este día me vestí con mi look Indiana Jones, mochila de Eastpak donde guardar la cámara, pantalones Dockers, jersey de Massimo Dutti botas Panama Jack.

Last monday, my colleague Ester Bellon and I had the privilege of enjoying a private tour at the Sorolla Museum in Madrid.

Covadonga, the historian who guided us through the space immersed us in the art and universe of Joaquín Sorolla, the great valencian artist (1896 - 1923) who painted more than five thousand canvas.

His museum house has a lot of charm and there is so much history behind it. The family bestowed a large amount of paintings together with the house, and some of the pieces exhibited are loans from private collectors and foundations.

We got to learn more about the life of Sorolla's family, their trips, their long summers in the north where he painted some of his most famous art works… Sorolla's true passion though was Andalucía; its courtyards, sevillian architecture , the gardens of La Alhambra… When he built his own house he found inspiration in the flamenco culture, in the andalucian tiles… the house has an amazing garden, a true oasis in the centre of Madrid. A must!

For the occasion I wore my Indiana Jones outfit, Estpack backpack to keep my camera, trousers by Dockers, Massimo Dutti jumper and Panama Jack boots.

Manlul 17: Fall-ing in love again

It's the beginning of Autumn and I can finally start pulling one of my favourite key items: the jumper. Im not sure if it's the traditional fall color palette that influences me but I usually end up buying taupe, beige or ochre items during this time of the year. In menswear you can always find a great range of layering pieces such as jackets, coats and sweaters, which are perfect for Fall dressing. My first purchase is this Scotch & Soda jumper. I'm wearing Dockers trousers, Panama Jack boots and Derett hand made shades.
Comienza el otoño y con él ya puedo empezar a usar mi prenda preferida: el jersey. Y no sé si es porque su mismo color me lo evoca pero en esta época suelo comprar prendas de color beige, marrón, ocre.. Los hombres tenemos una gran oferta para el otoño entre chaquetas, abrigos y jerseys, mi primera adquisición ha sido este de Scotch & Soda. Llevo pantalones Dockers, botas Panama Jack y gafas de madera Derett, hechas a mano.
