Yeah man, no problem! That's what they say all the time on Hilfiger Island: just relax, have fun, chill out - no problem! This is the perfect summary of my days in the Caribbean with Tommy Hilfiger Eyewear. Here are some pictures of my experience in this warm and happy paradise. All-day dancing, laughing, and having fun! The shades I’m wearing helped make the scenery even more beautiful, especially the crystal waters. La Taxidermia de Polly Morgan en NYC

Cuando este verano estuve en Saint-Tropez con Bottega Veneta (Aquí el post) conocí entre otra gente increíble a Polly Morgan. Nada más llegar al hotel empezamos a hablar y me dijo que era artista, taxidermista más concretamente. A mi me encantan los animales disecados, toda mi infancia me la pasé jugando en casa de mis abuelos con búhos, zorros, ¡incluso un oso que todavía tenemos! (lo cazó mi bisabuela cuando esperaba en el campamento y el oso fue a atacarla, no me gusta la caza). 

Meses más tarde cuando estaba trabajando en NYC, Polly me escribió para decirme que ella también estaba allí montando una exposición. El tema esta vez eran serpientes. Como veis en las fotos, no simplemente diseca animales sino que hace esculturas con ellos.

Manlul 43: Katz's, My Favourite Deli!

While in  was in NYC during Fashion Week in September I got to visited some of  Tommy Hilfiger's favorite places in the city. One of those places was Katz's, the famous Manhattan deli which has became a city icon over the years. You won't find a a better (or bigger!) pastrami sandwich anywhere than at Katz's.  Established in 1888, Katz's Delicatessen has maintained the tradition and the quality of it sandwiches and remained intact after surviving three depressions, numerous recessions, and two wars. It's one of the coolest places I've been to in the Lower East Side: the space it's really special and charming, even though you would expect a place recommended  to be touristic, at Katz's you can actually breath authenticity in every corner, from the food, to the furniture to every member of the welcoming staff. I had the chance to chat with many of the guys working here. Some of them have been working for decades and defenetly have lots amazing stories to tell.

Durante la NYC Fashion Week de septiembre tuve la oportunidad de visitar algunos de los sitios preferidos de Tommy Hilfiger en la ciudad. Uno de esos sitios es Katz's, un famoso Deli de Manhattan que a lo largo de los años se ha convertido en un icono de la ciudad. No encontrarás sandwich mejor (ni más grande!) en ningún sitio. Inaugurado en 1888, el Delicatessen Katz's ha mantenido la tradición y la calidad de sus sandwiches y ha permanecido intacta después de haber sobrevivido a tres depresiones, numerosas recesiones y dos guerras. Es uno de los lugares más chulos en los que he estado del Lower East Side: el espacio es muy especial y acogedor sin el ambiente turístico que podrías esperar de un sitio tan conocido. En Katz's puedes realmente sentir la autenticidad en cada esquina, desde la comida, los muebles a cada miembro del equipo. Tuve la oportunidad de hablar con los trabajadores. Alguno de ellos lleva trabajando décadas allí y definitivamente tiene muchas historias increíbles que contar.

Hilfiger Denim

Ya tengo unos pantalones vaqueros bordados a mano con mis iniciales -M.C- (Miguel Carrizo). Tommy Hilfiger ofrece la posibilidad de que bordes las tuyas en cualquier prenda denim que compres hoy y mañana (25 y 26 de abril) en las tiendas Hilfiger Denim. En Madrid la podéis encontrar en la calle Fuencarral 23 y en Barcelona en el Centro Comercial La Maquinista. 

Puedes elegir la prenda vaquera que quieras. Hay camisas, chaquetas y miles de pantalones. Luego pedir donde quieres que te lo borden, ¡te lo harán allí mismo y al momento! Y así ya puedes hacer que tu prenda sea única.

En las fotos estoy en el Bar La Gloria (C/Valverde 42) y llevo pantalón de Hilfiger Denim, camisa de la marca danesa Libertine-Libertine, cinturón Asos y zapatos Timberland.

Tommy Hilfiger offers the possibility of embroidering yours with your initials in any garment you purchase today and tomorrow, (April 25th and 26th) in the Hilfiger Denim Stores. Find them in number 23 Fuencarral street in Madrid and in La Maquinista, Barcelona.
Choose a denim garment you want, there are shirts, jackets, thousands of trousers, then tell them where you want to place your initials. They will embroider them right there and you will walk out of the store feeling unique with your customized clothes.
These pictures were taken in La Gloria Bar (42 Valverde St.) and I am wearing Hilfiger Denim jeans, a shirt from danish brand Libertine Libertine, Asos belt and Timberland shoes.
