Manlul 76: Aniversary In Paris

 

Hello! I'm back and exciting to tell you my adventures like the last one at the Paris Fashion Week. One more season Gala and I met there and millions of things happened (as usual), you will se it soon... The first show I went to was Lacoste. The french brand turned 85 and chose Paris to present the SS18 collection in a beautiful parade with live music. Although sportswear is always present in the Lacoste ready to wear shows, this time we could see a little retrospective of the brand but also the most trendy looks. Colors and fabrics were the highlights of the collection all presented in a set that evoked a tennis court. Going back to the city of love always brings back pleasure, just to walk around and admire the amazing architecture can be so inspiring. I can not wait to go back !. ¡Hola! Estoy de vuelta y con muchas ganas de seguir contando mis aventuras como la última en la Fashion Week de París. Una temporada más Gala y yo nos reunimos allí y como siempre nos pasaron millones de cosas que podréis ver próximamente... El primer show al que pude asistir fue el de Lacoste. La marca francesa cumplió 85 años y vuelve a desfilar en París donde presentó la colección SS18 en un desfile precioso ambientado con música en directo. Aunque en Lacoste siempre está presente la ropa deportiva, esta vez pudimos ver una especie de retrospectiva de la casa gala incluyendo la tendencia más actual. Me encantaron los colores y los tejidos de la colección y el set que montaron que recordaba a una pista de tenis. Volver a la ciudad del amor siempre es un placer, me encanta pasear por las calles e inspirarme con solo mirar la arquitectura. ¡Ya estoy deseando volver!. En las fotos llevo vaqueros, polo de manga larga, sudadera y zapatillas todo de Lacoste. ¡Feliz aniversario cocodrilo!. @miguelcarrizo

Kenzo & Lauryn Hill

 

Gracias a KENZO vi un concierto privado de Lauryn Hill desde primera fila. Que ella cantara mirándome a los ojos y me diera la mano para bailar un rato conmigo no lo olvidaré nunca. Fue uno de los momentos más emocionantes de mi vida. 

¿Quién es Lauryn Hill? Espero que haya muy pocas personas que se estén preguntado esto. Pero por si acaso: es una de mis artistas preferidas, cantante de The Fugees y que arrasó con su disco en solitario “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” ganando cinco Grammys incluyendo mejor álbum del año. Una pena que no volviera a sacar ninguno más… (A parte del MTV unplugged). Pero da igual donde esté en el mundo que al entrar en cualquier restaurante o tienda interesante ella esta sonando, no pasan los años por ese álbum.

El caso es que durante la Fashion Week de Paris fuimos al desfile de Kenzo (por cierto uno de mis preferidos ya que ocurrió mientras cenábamos y los modelos iban pasando entre las mesas con su ropa colorida, bastante espectacular). Cuando terminó me dicen: - ahora hay una actuación sorpresa, LAURYN HILL! Buaaah casi me da infarto.

Unas semanas antes tuve la suerte de asistir a la inauguración de su primera tienda en el Paseo de Gracia de Barcelona. El evento también estuvo muy bien y el look que escogí me encantó, los vaqueros son comodísimos y las alpargatas muy originales.

No quiero ser pesado pero los directores creativos son unos auténticos cracks, a parte de por hacer lo que les da la gana y crear diseños increíbles por haber montado ese after party.

I want to thank KENZO for one of the best experiences of my life: I saw a private concert by Lauryn Hill, in the front row. She sang looking into my eyes and danced with me for a while!. God, I will never forget that moment.Who's Lauryn Hill? I hope there are very few people who are wondering this. But just in case: she is one of my favorite artists, singer of The Fugees and she had a massive succes with her solo album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" winning five Grammys including album of the year. What a shame she didnt realese more albums... (apart from the MTV unplugged). But no matter where I am in the world, whenever I enter any interesting restaurant or store, her music is playing. It's a timeless album. So in Paris Fashion Week we attended to the Kenzo show (by the way one of my favorite shows, it happened during the dinner and the runway was
setteld between the tables, so the models walked around with their spectacular and colorful outfits). When it finished they told me: -now there is a surprise performance, LAURYN HILL is playing! Buaaah I almost had a heart attack. THANK YOU KENZO!.
A few weeks earlier I also attended the opening of the first Kenzo shop in Barcelona. The event was also really cool and I love the look I chose for the occasion, the jeans are super comfortable and the espadrilles very original. Congratulations to the creative directors for being such geniuses, creating powerful pieces and doing whatever they want. Including hiring Lauryn!

Manlul 53: Bonjour from Paris

Paris it's an amazing city and when it's sunny everything becomes even more beautiful. We're being so lucky this fashion week! it feels so good to walk around the city of love and be surprised with every incredible building around the corner.

In the pictures I'm wearing a merino wood jumper from a danish brand call Andersen-Andersen "made for sailors, hunters and for looking good", Pull&Bear jeans, The Wolf socks, Persol shades, Tousette hat and Pedro García shoes from his new Mr. collection.

París es una ciudad única y cuando hace sol es todavía más bonita. Estamos teniendo mucha suerte esta fashion week y da mucho gusto caminar por las calles y dejarse sorprender por los edificios increíbles que hay en cada esquina. En las fotos llevo jersey de lana de merino de Andersen-Andersen "hecho para marineros, cazadores y para verse bien", pantalones de Pull&Bear, calcetines de The wolf socks, gafas Persol, sombrero Tousette  y zapatos Pedro García se su nueva colección Mr.
