Manlul 60: Mango Man Romance

 

As you could see on my Instagram account recently we traveled to Barcelona where Mango made its show at the 080. We had blast and the crew took good care of us. We already feel part of the family!. We stayed at the Miramar Hotel where they set up a "hippie" chill out as a  showroom with carpets and flowers, very Amlul style! The show was in the Palau Olimpic, where the Olympics 1992 took place. I specially loved the bohemian touch of the collection and the total black looks. My favorite piece was a camel coat, which I will buy  as soon as it's  available. It is always a pleasure to return to Barcelona specially during the summer, it felt so good. See you next season !.

Como habréis podido ver en mi cuenta de Instagram hace poco viajamos a Barcelona donde Mango volvió a celebrar su desfile en la pasarela 080. Como siempre fue una reunión de amigos y unos días increíbles en los que nos cuidaron muy bien. ¡Ya nos sentimos parte de la familia!.  Nos alojamos en el Hotel Miramar donde habían montado un chillout a modo showroom - hippie con alfombras y plantas, muy estilo Amlul! El show fue en el Palau Olimpic y de la colección me encantó el rollo bohemio que le dieron y todos los looks en negro, pantalones, jerséis y botines. Y lo que más un abrigo marrón que en cuanto salga voy a por el! Es siempre un placer volver a Barcelona y especialmente en verano que se está genial. ¡Nos vemos la próxima temporada!.

Manlul 51: Mango + Barcelona = Happiness

To return to Barcelona always translates to happiness to me. Although this time it was pretty cold and the streets were quiet, the city never loses its charm, Barcelona t`estimo!. The pleasure is even greater when the invitation comes from Mango, a brand that continues growing and reaffirming its success and whose Men collection gets better and better every season. They chose the 080 platform again to present their new collection. This time the show and the after party was held at the Maritime Museum , a beautiful and stunning building in which ships were built since the XIII century.  It was a fantastic event, between  friends , dancing and having lots of fun. Unfortunately, Gala  couldn't make it this season and she was truly missed. Thanks to the Mango team for taking such good care of us! And so nice to stay at the W Hotel Barcelona! what a view...so beautiful! Pretty much a classic already . See you next season!

Volver a Barcelona es siempre signo de felicidad. A pesar de que esta vez las calles estuvieran tranquilas y el frío azotara la ciudad, nunca deja de perder el encanto que tiene, Barcelona t`estimo!. Aún mayor es el gusto cuando la invitación viene de la mano de Mango, gran marca que sigue triunfando y en la que el departamento de Hombre mejoran sus colecciones en cada temporada. Una vez más eligieron el marco de la pasarela 080 para presentar su nueva colección. En esta ocasión el desfile y la posterior fiesta se celebró en el Museo Marítimo, un precioso edificio en el que se construyeron barcos desde el siglo XIII. Muy divertido, rodeados de amigos, bailando y pasándolo bien. Una pena que Gala no pudiera venir esta vez, la echamos de menos. Gracias a todo el equipo de Mango por hacernos sentir tan bien y por la buena organización, ¡qué agusto se está en el W Hotel y qué vistas tan bonitas! Ya casi un clásico. ¡See you next time!

If you're following my Instagram, you've seen once again that I attended the He by Mango show at the opening of 080 Barcelona. It was exceptional! The spectacular location they chose for the event was the Sant Pau Hospital, a modernist construction by Lluis Domenech i Montaner. It was like being in Hansel and Gretel. The men's collection was elegant and simply beautiful. The models, jackets, turtlenecks, suits and tuxedos were exceptional. Honestly, I would wear everything! Congratulations to all those who worked on this, it gets better and better! Looking forward to the next season!! In the meantime, enjoy! Moltes gràcies Mango!

Si seguís mi Instagram habréis visto que un año mas pude asistir al desfile de He by Mango en la apertura del 080 Barcelona, pero esta vez ha sido aún más especial. Primero por el sitio tan espectacular que eligieron para hacerlo, el Hospital de Sant Pau, una obra modernista de Lluís Domènech i Montaner espectacular. Tenía la sensación de estar en el mundo de Hansel y Gretel, ¡donde quiera que miraras estabas dentro de un cuento! Y segundo porque la colección de hombre que presentaron me pareció preciosa y muy elegante. Todos los modelos me gustaron, las chaquetas, los jerséis de cuello alto, los trajes, smokings… La verdad es que me lo pondría todo. ¡Enhorabuena al equipo porque cada vez lo estais haciendo mejor! A ver con qué nos nos sorprende la próxima colección pero de momento a disfrutar del futuro otoño. ¡Moltes gràcies Mango!

La semana pasada tuve la suerte de asistir una vez más a la pasarela 080 de Barcelona. Como siempre feliz de volver a la ciudad que me acogió durante doce años. El clima tan agradable que tiene me hace sentir muy agusto y sobretodo me puedo reencontrar con todos los amigos que hace tiempo que no veo.

Estas fotos las hizo Gerard Estadella en el backstage del Borne Centro Cultural, el espectacular antiguo mercado recién inaugurado donde hicieron los desfiles esta temporada. También hay alguna de la noche que llegamos a la ciudad con mucha energía. En realidad son un avance del próximo post; muy pronto subiré las fotos del desfile de Mango y mi estreno como reportero!

Last week I had the chance to attend the 080 fashion shows in Barcelona. I'm always happy to come back to the city where I lived for twelve years. The weather is always so good and I get to see all the friends that I haven't seen in so long.
These pictures were taken by Gerard Estadella in the backstage of the Borne Centre Cultural. This amazing old market has recently been renovated and all the shows this season took place there. Here are also some pics from the night we arrived in the city full of energy!
This is only a preview of my next post. Very soon I will post all the photos of the Mango show and my first video as a reporter!
