TESTINO & VOGUE

Fotos y fiesta
Catherine Baba
Mi hermano y Catherine Baba/My brother and Catherine Baba
With Mario Testino

Jajaja me hizo sentir mejor.
Few months a go Vogue magazine invited photographer Mario Testino to be the editor of their december issue and make a hommage capting the esence of the country. In order to celebrate this special colaboration they made a huge party in a beautiful palace, Fernan Nuñez, all iluminated in red lights. I don't know why but for the ocasion I just wore jeans and a black sweater but when I got there I realized I did a bad choice cause all the girls were dressed with amazings ensembles and jewelery and some of the guys were wearing tuxedos or formal desses... haha.
Lots of friends were there and I told my brother Félix to come because he couldn't flight back to NYC (passport in bad state..). The food was quite yummy, basicly fish, and the DJ Vinila Von Bismark, was playing cool remixes so everybody was dancing a lot. It was a courious contrast to see all the old furnitures and huge "spider lamps" and then the people going crazy and smoking...
Stylist Catherine Baba was in charge of the shooting and she was celebrating like the most! Laetitia Casta having fun...
After the party we went to another bar, and then to Tony2 where there's a long piano and all the people sing around it. I left home quite late but my brother, Mario Testino and a lot of people were still there... A night to remember!

ESTUDIO JUAN CARLOS CORAZZA

"An actor who freely creates with wisdom and love, is able to express the light and shade of the character he is playing and also the truth and the mystery of the story to the audience".

Juan Carlos Corazza.

Juan Carlos Corazza y Javier Bardem.

Elena Anaya thanked Corazza school for making her loving the art of acting.

Mi profesor, Manuel Morón.

Kira y Saúl, dos compañeros de clase.
Kira and Saul, two of my classmates.

A ver qué tal..

Un video que improvisamos hace unos meses:
A improvisation video I made few months ago:

Juan Carlos Corazza Acting Studio is one of the most respected acting schools in the country. His method can be defined as a mixture of different theatrical trends such as the Stalisnavsky method including contributions from Lee Strassberg, the psicoanalysis and Gestalt therapy. Before moving to Madrid I was not sure about which school to choose. I asked around and I finally went for Corazza. After the auditions I started my first year and I was very lucky indeed with my class group. Amazing people, both students and teachers.
I honestly had no idea how the classes were going to work or how their method was going to be applied. I had read about it but it was not until my first day of classes (when I started to do what they asked me to - which at times i found really "odd"- that I realized what I had gotten involved with.
I am now in my second year and Manuel Moron is my acting teacher, he is such a ace! I am learning so much and his classes are such a therapy, a reflexive process that helps to getting to know oneself a bit better, to learning how you really feel in that specific moment and to being able to stop and really think for few hours.
I still have a long way to go but I think I am on the right track.
It takes four years to complete the whole program (if you don't have to repeat any year), plus several extra optional seminars students can enroll. One day I ran into Javier Bardem at the entrance of the school and he told me "You are in the right place, I discovered this school 20 years ago and never left".

Let's see how it goes...

PRIX MARIE CLAIRE

PREMIOS MARIE CLAIRE, ¡¡ELEEEEEEEE!!

Last Thursday I went to a Party at the French Embassador's house hosted by Marie Claire. The location was beautiful, in a 1920's house full of trapestry and paintings. The halls were filled with big round tables covered with candles, it was a very cosy environment. The awards were for people in the fashion industry, such as the grandpa Karl Lagerfeld, or Núria Sardà, who creates amazing shows at Madrid Fashion Week.
The night was very enjoyable and I really liked the place. Unfortunately the queue for the bathroom was too long so I had to pay a visit to the gardens....

LAURYN HILL

To Zion

Lauryn Hill is my favorite singer ever and she recently came back. She only released two albums and I know them both by heart, she's the best! She used to sing with The Fugees and then became a solo artist. She had an incredible success in the late 90s, but fame and problems with the record label overwhelmed her and made her leave everything. She has 6 children with one of Bob Marley's sons of which the oldest is called Zion, for whom she wrote one of her best songs: To Zion. I hope she releases another album one day!

INCREIBLE:

 Espero encontrarla también:
I gotta find peace of mind:

PREMIOS GQ 2012

Hombres del año 2012

Los 10 premiados y la presentadora, Leonor Watling.

 Adrien Brody mejor actor internacional.

Yesterday I went to the man of the year GQ awards, sportsman, actor, bussinessman.. and that stuff. I laughed a lot at the dinner and I liked that the ceremony was very quick and not boring at all. We danced to the music that the Russian Red's singer was djing. I meet very nice people and I wore a cowboy hat Johnny Depp's style.

A N T I C H R I S T

Lars Von Trier

Caos Reigns

Charlotte Gainsbourg is also a singer, this is a video with Bek.

Four years ago I went to the movies with Margo Stilly, an American friend who was filming a movie in Barcelona, and other friends.
We chose Antichrist by Lars Von Trier because we liked the director. During the screening there were people who got up and left. The truth is that it was very shocking.
When I left the theater they asked me if I liked it, but I didn't know what to answer. I was anxious inside and had an empty feeling but I did not know if I liked it or not. The next week I was obsessed with it, I realised that I had loved it and could not stop searching for things on the internet, interviews ... It's great!

It often happens to me, it takes me a few hours or a few days to know if I like a movie or not. But if think about it, it is a good sign. Charlotte Gainsbourg won the Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival and Willem Dafoe does a wonderful job.
Lars Von Trier creates an unusual mood, especially when they go to the forest, the sound, the light ... one of the most disturbing and shocking movies I have ever seen.

Two years later, through a friend who worked in Zentropa (Lars V T's company) I had the oportunity to work in a short film produced by them. The director sent me this signed photo of Lars as a present.
I had lots of fun doing it.
