La ropa y los complementos son muy definitorios a la hora de presentarnos a los demás, proyectando una imagen de lo que queremos transmitir. También muy específicos en cuanto a géneros se refiere. No es fácil o habitual el vestir una prenda que está diseñada para el sexo opuesto. Algunas personas sí que atraviesan esa barrera, sobretodo mujeres que se atreven a vestir ropa de hombre. Una mujer puede vestir por ejemplo una prenda tan masculina como es un traje en una versión reinterpretada y continuar manteniendo su feminidad y atractivo.
Un gran ejemplo de esta fashion androginia es Cathy Lucas, buena amiga y gran artista. Quizás ya os suene porque es una de las componentes del grupo británico Fanfarlo, donde toca el violín, el teclado y canta. Cada vez que sube al escenario no deja indiferente a nadie, tanto por su talento como por su gusto a la hora de escoger los conjuntos, optando muchas veces por prendas masculinas. En estas fotos la vemos dentro de una nave espacial, parte de una instalación del David Blandi, artista británico multidisciplinar que produce video, comics y "performances" entre otras cosas. A parte de tocar con su grupo, Cathy, actualmente de gira mundial, trabaja en un proyecto en solitario que podéis ir escuchando aquí .

The clothes and accessories are very defining when it comes to presenting ourselves to others, projecting an image of what we want to transmit. They also tend to be very specific regarding gender. It is not easy or usual to wear a garment designed for the opposite sex. Some people do cross that barrier, especially women who dare to wear men's clothing. A woman can wear for example a male garment such as a suit in a reinterpreted version and still retain her femininity and attractiveness.
A great example of this fashion androgyny is Cathy Lucas, a good friend and a great artist. Maybe the name rings a bell because she is one of the components of the British band Fanfarlo, in which she plays the violin, keyboard and sings. Every time she steps on stage she leaves no one indifferent, both with her talent and her taste in choosing her outift, often opting for menswear. In these pictures we see her in a spaceship, which is part of an installation by David Blandi, a multidisciplinary British artist who produces video, comics and performances among other things.
