Jaeger-Lecoultre montó un gran lounge en Hotel María Cristina donde pude ver y tocar sus modelos y en el que nos relajamos antes de la gran noche. // Jaeger-Lecoultre had a lounge at the Maria Cristina Hotel where I could discover all her precious styles and also relax a bit before the big night.
Para esta noche tan especial me puse smoking de Brooks Brothers y este elegante reloj con correa de piel. ¡Me olvidé los gemelos!, así que tuve que parar en una tienda a comprarme unos de camino al teatro... // For this special night I wore a Brooks Brothers tuxedo and this sophisticated watch with leader strap. I forgot the cufflinks so I have to stop and buy some others on my way to the theatre...

El cine es una de mis pasiones. El momento en el que estoy sentado en la butaca de una sala o teatro, se apagan las luces y empiezan los créditos. ¡ESPECTACIÓN!. Qué gran momento. Estoy despierto y ansioso por descubrir las vidas de los personajes en los que me voy a sumegir.
Algo que no soporto son los trailers. Me encanta no saber nada de la historia y que sean todo sorpresas. ¡Es que a veces te cuentan la película entera!. Entonces para decidir qué ver me baso en la opinión de buenos amigos y también en la crítica de los Festivales de Cine. San Sebastián alberga el Festival más prestigioso de nuestro país y uno de los más importantes del mundo. Qué placer poder disfrutar de una ciudad tan increíble y a la vez ver peliculas y comer la mejor comida posible, un buen pack!. Además este año el tiempo fue de verano, que aunque sea final de septiembre, en el norte puede estar lloviendo sin parar. Así que también pude darme unos buenos baños en la playa de La Concha.
Jaeger-LeCoultre está estrechamente relacionado con el mundo del cine; ambos crean sueños y un sentido de fascinación a través de la estética y el dominio técnico. Concretamente en este Festival la marca de alta relojería entrega el Premio al Cine Latino, que este año fue para la actriz Paz Vega. En la anterior edición el premio recayó en el director, guionista y actor Gael García Bernal.
La verdad es que fue toda una experiencia caminar una alfombra roja tan larga y vivir esta aventura con todo el equipo. También tuve la oportunidad de conocer un poco más la Fundación Aladina, una organización que ayuda a los niños y adolescentes enfermos de cáncer. Aunque había colaborado con ellos anteriormente, me encantó conocer a las personas que están detrás de tanto trabajo.
Después del Premio nos fuimos caminando a cenar a un restaurante cercano. Comimos delicias típicas del País Vasco y fue una cena divertida. Compartí mesa con María León, Paco Arango, los hermanos Andina, Mar Flores, el equipo de Jaeger, el equipo de Aladina y gente de prensa, entre otros. A veces te imaginas que este tipo de cenas pueden ser algo muy serio y aburrido, pues en este caso fue exactamente lo contrario. Gente encantadora y abierta. No paramos de reírnos en toda la cena. Al terminar volvimos al hotel donde Jaeger montó un fiestón. Yo no dejé de bailar desde que entramos por la puerta. Me lo pasé realmente bien, desde aquí muchísimas gracias a todos por tan buen trabajo y hacerlo todo tan fácil.

Impresionante trabajo de Mélanie Thierry en La Douleur de Emmanuel Finkiel. Un drama poético sobre la segunda Guerra Mundial con una fotografía y una música preciosa.
Otra de las películas que recominedo y que tuve la oportunidad de ver en San Sebastián fue Three Billboards Outside Ebbig, Misourri del oscarizado Martin McDonagh. También drama pero con toques de humor negro y con la genial interpretación de Frances McDormand.

Cinema is one of my passions. I am seated on the chair, the lights turns
off, the credits begin, EXCITEMENT!, what a great moment. I feel happy and
anxious to discover the lives of the characters I am about to get immerse into. Watching trailers is not my favorite. I love not knowing anything about the
story and be sorprised all the time. So to decide which movie I should watch I
listen to good friend´s opinion as well as Film Festivals critics. San
Sebastián hosts the most prestigious Cinema Festival in Spain and its one of
the most important in the world. What a pleassure to enjoy this amazing city,
watch movies and eat the best food, everything at the same time!. On top of
that this year the weather was a-m-a-z-i-n-g, wich is not that common in the north
coast. So I could also get some nice swims at La Concha beach.
Jaeger-LeCoultre is closely related to the world of cinema; they both create
dreams and a sense of fascination through aesthetics and technical mastery. In
San Sebastian the luxury watchmaking brand gives the Latin Cinema Award and
actress Paz Vega was this year awarded. In the previous edition the award went
to director, scriptwriter and actor Gael García Bernal.
It was an experience to walk such a long red carpet and live this adventure
with the whole team. I also had the opportunity to learn more about the AladinaFoundation, an organization that helps children and adolescents with cancer.
Although I had collaborated with them previously, I loved meeting the people
behind this big project.
After the gala we walked to a restaurant closed by the Queen Victoria Eugenia Theatre. We ate typical delights of the Basque Country and it was a fun dinner indeed. I shared the table with María León, Paco Arango, the Andina brothers, Mar Flores, Jaeger's team, Aladina's Foundation team and press people, among others. Sometimes you imagine this type of dinners very serious and kind of boring but in this case it was exactly the opposite. Lovely and open people. We dindn´t stop laughing in the whole evening. After dinner we headed to the hotel where JaegerLeCoultre hosted THE party. I couldn´t stop dancing since we walked through the door. I had a blast.
